White Zombie Game

I volunteered to play a Facebook game about a band and I was assigned, by Alex Pogosov, the band White Zombie. White Zombie is indeed one of my favorite bands and I suspect he knew this. I’m pretty sure I was first exposed to this groovy horror-metal chaos band, like most people, by Mike Judge via Beavis and Butthead circa 1993. A friend of mine later gave me a tape of La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume 1, but it only had like the first five songs. When I ultimately bought the CD it was like a bonus because I’d never heard the rest of the album. When the next album, Astro-Creep 2000 came out, I bought it right away and found it worthy of the name White Zombie. It would be a difficult task to identify a favorite track from this band. Specifically for this assignment, I just now skipped around a bunch on La Sexorcisto, and I’ve reached the conclusion that Cosmic Monsters Inc. is probably my favorite. It has everything I’m looking for in a White Zombie song. Sci-fi samples, absurd lyrics, heavy riffs, and an industrial edge. Strangely enough, for a White Zombie song, the lyrics are NOT complelety peppered with the exclamation “yeah!”.

Bumpboxx Retro Pager

Electric Purple Bumpboxx Retro Pager

I ordered my Bumpboxx Retro Pager Bluetooth® Speaker from Amazon last week. I feel that the $89.00 USD price was a bit high, but I got it on credit, so it doesn’t hurt so bad. Also, paying that price is partially my fault. Had I bought it in black, it would have been $10 cheaper. Overall, I’m happy with it and its features. There are a few things I would have preferred, but that’s OK.

Pros

  • Micro USB Power Port
  • TF Card (Micro SD) Card for mp3 Files
  • Variety of color options
  • Belt Clip
  • Decent Sound
  • Flashlight

Cons

  • Pager Sound Effect when powering on (It’s maddening and cannot be disabled)
  • No Skip Button for mp3 Files (as far as I can tell)
  • No Random/Shuffle functionality for mp3 Files
  • FM Channel Scan is too fast (It would be near impossible to have enough time to recognize a song and stop the scan in enough time to actually stop on that channel)
  • Poor FM Reception
  • Button Placement (It’s relatively difficult to press the clip to insert into your pocket without pressing random buttons)

The likelihood that a user would actually utilize the card or the radio is low, I get it, but their low quality makes them near pointless. If you plan to use Bluetooth® only, you’re good.…
