MP3s on a POVWUATH Boombox

I purchased this boombox and, likely unlike most others, actually wanted to be able to play MP3s with it. No matter what I did, it would play them on neither a USB drive nor an SD card. Using AI chatbots, I was able to determine that it could be that the format of the USB drive is incorrect. You must use FAT32 or it will not read the drive. Below are the basic steps on how to format a USB drive as FAT32 using the Rufus utility:

  1. Download and install Rufus from the Rufus website: https://rufus.ie/.
  2. Connect your USB drive to your computer.
  3. Launch Rufus.
  4. In the Device field, select your USB drive.
  5. In the Boot selection field, leave the default option, which is "None".
  6. In the File system field, select "FAT32".
  7. (Optional) If you want to enable quick format, check the "Quick Format" checkbox.
  8. Click the Start button.
  9. A warning message will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to format the USB drive. Click OK to continue.

Rufus will start formatting the USB drive. This process may take a few minutes, depending on the size of the USB drive. Once the formatting is complete, Rufus will close automatically.
